PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The objective of this meeting is to provide a forum for discussions pertaining to the common grounds between sleep and anesthesia. The goal  is to promote excellence in medical care, research and education in anesthesia, sleep medicine and perioperative medicine.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To identify and address present clinical practice gaps, learners will explore the following gaps existing today in care of patients with sleep-disordered breathing and the nexus with perioperative care.

This is a hands-on workshop opportunity for clinician participants who will learn from experts in 2 skills:

-Participants will learn indications for and operation of non-invasive ventilatory devices to optimize ventilation and improve adherence, as well as peri-operative and sleep-related respiratory monitoring devices that could be used at home, or in hospital to help identify patients at risk for sleep-disordered breathing, or respiratory failure

-Participants will learn to perform point-of-care ultrasound assessments of the upper airways and to measure relevant hemodynamics related to respiratory obstruction or depression.
